Celebrating the Blog Anniversary with a Give Away!

I can hardly believe it's been two years since I started Cleaning Up the Clutter with this post on December 27, 2008.  Our house has come a long way since then, but we still have a ways to go. My projects for the upcoming year include cleaning out the garage and putting an organizational system in place so that it doesn't get messy again. And, deep cleaning the entire kitchen because, well, it's been almost two years since I cleaned every cupboard and it needs it again. I also hope to put some of my cleaning check lists into Adobe files for you to download and use for free. I've got lots of big plans, both with cleaning and writing. I'm very happy that decluttering has proved to be a topic in which I can maintain a long-term interest.

In celebration, I'm hosting a give away that I hope you will like as much as I do. I have a beautiful Lang 2011 calendar AND a box of delicious chocolates from the lovely folks at Heart & Soul candies. They were kind enough to donate a box of their chocolates to be given away on my blog. They also sent a sample for me to try. I can personally attest to the fact that these chocolates are delicious!

Carol, Tree Huggin' Mama, Melissa, I Should be Sleeping, as well as all the others that have come and gone as regulars are an important part of this blog!  You inspire me to keep writing and keep decluttering!  I can't thank you enough for your loyalty to my blog and for sharing your lovely blogs with me!  I may not comment often (though I do try to comment regularly), but I read each of your blogs with every update.  Keep writing, keep decluttering and keep sharing your stories!

    My goal for 2011? AN ORDERED LIFE. Love this hymn which says it all:

  2. Simply put to declutter. I want to find the house under all this clutter and get to a point where there is not clutter everywhere I turn because I have purged everything that is no longer needed.

  3. I'd really like to declutter the entire garage and overall leave no room behind this year. It was a great house for 2 newlyweds and a baby but now we have grown out of it. In these years my humble work from home business, is beginning to expand and require a space of its own. We are hopeful to move soon but I have to do the best with what I have to work with now, and that means purging LOTS of things this year. I just started a blog to hold me accountable and keep me motivated.

    My decluttering resolution at the moment (I reserve the right to add more as the year goes on!) is to ask the questions: do we really need it? And if so, does it have a place? And if not, I need to decide on a place for it.
