Blog Carnival

If I can figure out what a trackback URL is, I'm going to participate in a blog carnival. Does anyone know anything about trackback URLs?

A Blog Carnival of Everything Home's next edition is coming out on January 28th. If I can do it, I'll post the link here again on that day.

  1. I just followed the link to the carnival and posted an article, too. The trackback thing threw me for a loop, as well. I do blogger, just like you, and I think I finally figured out what they're looking for. First, you have to go to settings and then to comments and show "backlinks" (Blogger does backlinks, instead of trackbacks - don't really understand the difference). Then, when you go to the permalink of the article you want to submit, click on "Create a Link" at the bottom of the page. That should give you a little popup window, and you can grab the url from there. I'm pretty sure that's the way you do it. Of course, I have no real idea what I'm doing, so take this advice with a grain of salt. ;o)

  2. Thanks, Kivyn! I e-mailed the admin at blog carnival and got a response back today. She said the trackback URL was optional. So, I just submitted my article without it.
