Today's work was more about spring cleaning than decluttering. But, if you subscribe to the theory that dirt is clutter, then it still fits with the Cleaning Up the Clutter theme. I have one drawer to declutter in the kitchen, but I realized yesterday that I have a few other things that need to be done for the room to be totally cleaned and organized. Wiping down the table and chairs is one of those things.
Our table is a refinished garage sale find. It's been a great table. It's sturdy and we don't mind at all when the kids' art projects get a little messy. But, after a year or so of daily use for meals and projects, the table needs more than a quick swipe of the dishrag. The chairs were in the same boat.
This is a close up of the markers and paint that grace the edges of the table.
My new microfiber towels did a great job of cleaning most of the marker, paint, dried food and dirt off the table and chairs. Some of the paint didn't come off, but that's not a big deal.
