I hated to enable comment moderation, I really did. It's not like I get any heated discussions here and I've never gotten an insulting or creepy comment like I see other bloggers complain about now and again. However, I had to delete another Asian porn link this morning and I'm a bit tired ot it. Do they really think they're going to get a lot of hits from their cryptic links and "......." links from my blog?
I have to admit that I was a bit naive when the first one showed up a couple of months ago. I didn't realize it was a link. There was some Asian writing, which I quickly put into the Google translator to find out meant "good luck" or something of that nature. What I didn't notice was the link, which was simply ".............". I was a bit flattered by the good luck sentiments - lol. It took a couple more similar links before I finally clicked on one and realized what it was!
I immediately deleted all of the links I had found. There may be more on older posts. I don't know. Maybe someday I'll have the time to go through each one. For now, the solution is to enable comment moderation. Sorry for that extra step, but all the legitimate comments will still show up.
On a more positive note, thanks for all the great tips I've gotten in comments and e-mails! I want to do another "Best Reader Tips" post soon. There have been some really good ones lately!
