Organize the Coat Closet

Spend 15 minutes organizing the coat closet. With winter weather fast approaching and already here in some areas, it’s a good idea to have easy access to gloves, hats, boots, scarves and snow pants for every member of the family. Also, weed out any spring and summer jackets that won’t be needed for a few months. Make room for the bulky winter coats. Add some extra hangers for holiday visitors' coats.

  1. My project today is to declutter the dining room table and mail those gifts to out-of-town relatives. I always like doing it early because you can check if it gets there and don't have to pay extra to get it there.

  2. I like to do my organization seasonally as well here in Miami Beach. I find that there so many things in our home that we accumulate that we just dont need. I always use this as an opportunity to donate and reuse vs. throw away or recycle. Plus making a donation and freeing up space always feels great around to holidays!
