New Page: What to do with Used Books

This is a quick post to let you know that I added a new reference page to the blog. Since book clutter is an issue for many of us, I thought we could all use a page with links and ideas for decluttering some of those books. Here's the link:

What to do with Used Books

  1. I think I fixed it. The link to the resource page about books on this post should work. On that page, I took out the link to Cash4Books because there's a link in the right side bar.

  2. Barb,
Several years ago my husband needed to get rid of an extensive theological library (unfortunately just before I got interested in theology). This was before I knew he had mixed dementias. We worked with Baker Book House Used Books of Grand Rapids:
    616-957-3110
    qotes@bakerbookretail.com
    They even handled postage.
Now with the Internet and Kindle, etc., we really don't need to own so many books.
    Cordially,
    Carol

  3. Thanks Carol. I'll add it to the list when I get a chance. I bet there are quite a few local places throughout the country that buy & sell used books.

  4. When we do our yearly cleaning, I will take any unwanted books and donate them to the library. Even if they can't use them for their current inventory, they will put them in their summer "yard sale" that is their annual fundraiser. It is much easier than me having to mess around with them trying to make a couple of dollars and in the process, I am helping my community library.
