My husband's beloved Uncle Lou is in the hospital right now on day 2 of a 3-week long intensive chemotherapy treatment for an aggressive type of lymphoma. It seemed to all happen so fast. Just a couple of weeks ago, we learned he wasn't feeling well. He wasn't getting better and went in for some testing. Last week, he got the diagnosis and the treatment was started as soon as possible.
Lou has always been a rock for my husband. He's been there for him at the drop of a hat. He's helped him with many house projects, watched the kids for us and is the first person Greg calls when he needs advice about anything. He's also been helping to care for his elderly parents, my husband's grandparents. He's the kind of guy that would give anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it.
Greg and I wish there was something we could do for him now. There's really not. Greg wants to go see him in the hospital, but we're not sure when he'll be able to do that.
The only thing we can do is pray and I can ask you to pray for him and for his wife, who is dealing with the incredible stress of having a seriously ill husband all of a sudden.
